My charts say 2000 ft for runway 18RBut indeed there are soms runways with a MA-alt of 1500ft :)

Just don't believe everything you read on pprune!! A few of our aircraft have the HUD's, but they were never certified and so are not ever used. Makes for a pricey sun visor really!Andrew

Yes! EHAM is a busy airport, so they have to restrict the missed apps like this. Don't forget that 1500' at EHAM is more than 1500' above the runway...

Great PICS Iz... thx for posting them!APP light extinguishes once autopilot takes over. PFD on the FO's side shows a/c is in auto land mode.PS: Wait a minute isn't the color of the MCP suppose to be... wow you would think these guys would do better job on their sim products! :-lol

SWEET Iz! I notice and assume your RA readout is part of the digital readout on the PFD in the upper right corner? Ah gotta love those customer options ;)Ramon, APP button goes *out*, you reference the FMA not the buttons per se and the Captain's side shows the F/D is the MASter. George! Some Boeings have a software/hardware option whereby the FD bars are biased out of view when the respective A/P is in CMD. During Autoland, with both (or all three) A/P's in CMD, both the Captain's and F/O's FD's may disappear.This is an option on 747-400's, so it may be available on the 737NG? Iz?Cheers.Ian.

Ramon, no this is a full autoland, as you may have concluded from the title of this post "737-700 Autoland pictures".The FD switches are still on but the bars disappear during the flare, they are not usable anyway during that part of the approach, and you're not handflying it anyway.Iz

Indeed, all customer options :) Actually it doesn't show the captain's FD is the master, they both are because both FCC channels operate independently during autoland. Except now the lights are off since the FD bars disappear during the flare.Oh yes, I really like this new MCP much better, the pushbuttons are like the ones in the other Boeings. Only the newer aircraft (such as this -700 which was delivered this year) have it, all our -800s still have the previous MCP. They work exactly the same though.

Yeah gotta love EHAM. And I know YOU guys love it as well, seeing as you were quite friendly with one of the lighting poles the night before. We just landed right after that happened, switched from 18R to 18C at the last minute because of that incident.We use Flaps 30 on every runway longer than 2500m, as a rule of thumb. The plane flies nicer on Flaps 30, at Flaps 40 it just hangs on its flaps, if you know what I mean.These are also CATIIIa certified, which means 200m visibility required. I heard about the EZY CATIIIb option, and although it is an option (with this newer type MCP installed), it was never taken by EZY because they opted for the A319 instead, which is also CATIIIb certified.

Yes, RA is in orange because we're below the RA Decision Height that was set on the EFIS control panel. Above the DH, it's a white number in that exact location.Actually, the RA minimums figure is right above it with the word "RADIO". When you switch it to BARO, the Baro minimums figure is below the attitude indicator (so you see the diff).The functioning of the minimums selector know in PMDG is not entirely correct, by the way. Pressing the RESET button at the tip of the switch, removes the minimums indication from the display. Pressing it again, displays it again. In the PMDG 737, it resets to 200 ft and disappears when you select a negative number, which is not right.
