Cost Index

Hello DEV team,Was curious if FMC Cost Index functionality was going to be implemented in the 800/900 series. Also, what is a common spd deviation from the MCP setting when using LVL CH? I seem to be in a range of + 5 knots or so during ALT increases and -5 knots during descents. Seems like the Aircraft beings its pitch movement just a few seconds early before it compensates for thrust increases/decreases. All in all, great job on the aircraft. Best available hands down.

Page 8-21 of the FM states that the Cost Index model is in development and that functionality will be added to the FMC/CDU at a later update. It doesn't specificallt refer to the 800/900 release but I think that is where it will be.Andy b

5 is correct for less than 10 seconds during speed transitions greater than say 20 knots. Steady state tolerance is less than 0.2 knots. It is **deliberate** : (a) Should not make it better than the real thing (:( One has to cater for the infernal FS9 weather system where 50 knots changes in 2 seconds are pretty common and turbulence is modelled by somebody that obviously does not know what turbulence is.Regards,Vangelis========================================== Evangelos M.
