Strange, cant taxi properly after landing.

First I would like to say that PMDG is the best addon for fs9 period, in IMHO.Using 737NG.I have all updates. i.e. 1.3, GDI+ and the latest IRAC 0130. I'm using C & H yoke + pedals USB. After making perfect landings and getting a message to exit the runway etc. I (notice?)...cohg, my rudder pedals go nuts. The plane wants to go to the right or left? when the pedals are in nuetral. When I taxi from gate to runway/takeoff the rudder works perfectly. I killed A/P, A/T, F/D and everything else exept the darn engines in the vain effort to correct the problem. Other than this particular problem the 737NG is perfect in every way.Running Win2k, no SP4, Athlon 2600/266, 512ram, Ti4200, at 1024x768.Installed GDI+ first and followed the instructions. Yes I RTFM.Any help/comment will be apreciated.ThanksBest Regards

I have the same problem and I'm also using a CH USB Yoke however no rudder pedals. I've had this problem all along with the nose wheel becoming unstable after landing and recently had to reinstall my operating system. That gave me the opportunity of a fresh PMDG install and the problem still existed. I have the latest PMDG 1.3 update installed. I'm not 100% certain but I think that the situation seems to occur if you forget to turn off the Flight Director switch after landing. Dick

DickAs I stated in my post, perhaps you missed it "I killed (meaning switched off)A/P, A/T, F/D and everything else exept the darn engines in the vain effort to correct the problem." so it's not that.I did think of one thing since my origanal post. Perhaps after using reverse thrust one or another of the engines quit?I will have to check that out. If thats the case maybe deleting the E key assighnments will prevent it. After thinking about it, it does indeed act as it would if you were trying to taxi with 1 engine?Thanks for your input.Best

I had exactly the same problem until I turned off the "automatic rudder" (rudder/aileron coupling) in the FS9 realism options. If you look closely when you get this problem you should see that the rudder is not in fact moving but the nosewheel is at about 50% of max deflection. Moving the rudder control would change the nosewheel hard to the other side. Impossible to taxi straight.Making that change fixed it for me. Hope this helps.

I have yoke and pedals as well, and I had to do the same thing (turn off autorudder) in order to taxi straight. I also used to have the same problem before I used pedals, and the fix was to turn off the a/p ... which you already tried. It's probably the autorudder setting, or your pedals are calibrated wrong. Are you using the CH Control Manager?

Did you click the AP switch or the disengage bar? Make sure it is the disengage bar that you hit to turn off the AP.HTHScottYBTL

Dick, Jimi, Ross, Scott and Roar; Thanks!Auto Rudder was enabled.I learned somthing about shutting down the AP.Ross I like your little pilot. Kids are funney, they see a button, they gotta push it. My kid learned how to fly the hard way. He saw a button on the vacuem cleaner so he pushed it. Talk about a takeoff!The damn thing was plugged in. Disabled auto rudder. Used AP disconnect button etc.After landing KPHL taxied perfectly. I have not tried as many addons as some of you guy's. Only two so far. PMDG is the best IMHO, I really enjoy it. The FMC has a bit of a learning curve but once you got it figured out it's a piece of cake. One other NAV addon I like is RealityXP Garmin setup for small aircraft, works for me.I will purchase the 737-800, 900 and the 747 series. I'll be 70 next mo., I had to quit real world 40 years ago, eyes went bad. After a number of years they developed implants, got em, 2 yrs ago,now I can see perfect again. Go figure.I still miss flying my old Piper Colt around, it was cheap and affordable. Oh well.Thanks again.Best

Hello,I ran across this thread while searching for a problem with autopilots. Anyway, I just had a similar problem when trying to taxi after landing, the plane wanted to pull left. I noticed that my right engine was up around 30% and moving the throttles had no effect. I have a couple computers, one I use for the internet and the other for FS and I'm always typing on the FS keyboard when I should be on the internet one. I was logging into this web site and as you can see my name contains an "e". That was it, of course. The thing is when I typed "E+1+2" to regain control of both engines it didn't work. I tried all combinations oF "E+" and nothing worked. I finally switched planes to the default B58 then back to the 737NG and that fixed it. Strange, huh?
