B737-NG Calculation of vref

Recommended Posts

Could anybody explain to me where to find the tables defining weight/flap setting/vref speed.I looked in the Landing performance manual (the obvious place??) but it does not appear there. Be glad of guidance. Thanks,Brian(Brian Corley)

The FMC calculates that for you. Just take a look at the APPR PAGE.

Thanks for your suggestion Fred. I am aware that the fmc will calculate all speed figures but whilst `v` speeds can be found in table format in the Take off performance manual the same does not appear to be the case for the landing case ie. vref. The question arose when I was working through the excellent tutorial by Timothy Metzinger, which specificaly covers flight without the benefit of the fmc. Good fun and very useful to hone the thinking process.Brian Corley(Cheltenham, England)
