Celebrating the first flight of the 747

"Hei... stunning... a real photo from the 747 capitan's point of view?!?!"Precisely...Can you imagine your average captain, wearing bifocals, operating this panel? He'd/She'd* either get a sore neck.... or he/she would have to turn his/her bifocals upside down. ...and I really can't imagine navigating using the Standby Compass (bottom left hand corner). Definitely not a Saab or Volvo, Mats ;-)"...not like the default FS2004 747 throttle panel which seems to be a big bad risen cake)."LOL... I can't say I've had the pleasure of seeing this.Cheers.Ian.*Can't show any gender bias here, because I saw a female 744 captain only last week.

Ok, I see what you mean. But can there some more previews because I almost can't wait anymore. :DRegards,Ramon.

To the PMDG team,Congratulations!!! I can only wish it was economically feasible for you to continue to develop products like this for Fly! II. I know it is not, and can't blame you.Excellent work, as usual!!!Regards,http://www.avsim.com/hangar/fly/dfdg/banneraa.jpg

Excellence.

Fantastic looking! The best part is we know you guys will get it right...a nice change from "other" payware designers who still can't get products working in FS2004!Looking forward to it and all future projects!

Hello, this looks to good to be true... I ONLY HOPE THAT YOU WILL ALSO GIVE US A B747-400F - the dedicated freight machine - PLEASE PLEASE !!! Thank You!!Cheers,Norbert - CLX001www.virtualcargolux.org -> flies at www.flightproject.net

747-200??? SGA???? HUH???? I guess you must have done it because we didn't.***At this time SGA does not have plans for the 747-200 nor do we have one ready to be put into service. Mr. Henry misspoke without factual backing.***

Okay, sorry for some confusion. In a previous post I made, that it seems I cannot edit, I made it seem like SGA was making a 747-200. This is not the case. A fellow simmer pointed this out to me. I am sorry for any confusion this may have caused. In that post, I meant the 're'released one was the RFP Second Generation. Again, sorry for any confusion.John

"I ONLY HOPE THAT YOU WILL ALSO GIVE US A B747-400F - the dedicated freight machine - PLEASE PLEASE !!!"I'd say something like this would require some serious additional programming, Norbert. The aircon system is completely different on the -400F (Different overhead panel, different synoptics on the EICAS, etc). Plus there are Electrical System differences, Fuel System differences (No Horizontal Stab Tank), etc. Plus, you'd have to add the animation for the Nose and Side Cargo doors in the external views(The nose door is also visible from the cockpit when it is raised).http://members.ozemail.com.au/~b744er/CD2.JPGCheers.Ian.

I guess its time for some new screenshots. :( :D :)Regards,Ramon

Hello Ian,yep - fully aware of these "challenges" but it would be absolutely fantastic to honor the -400F as there are quite a few that are flying around and it would add a wonderfull level of accuracy to your product range. It would also be marvelous to fly a real freighter version ;-) (Catch my drift)Thanks anyway for considering - even it might be in later stages...Cheers,Norbert - CLX001www.virtualcargolux.org
