A question for Vin...

Hey, man! I just wanted to ask you if the idea I proposed about a year ago of putting cabin row numbers fell through... It's OK if it did, I'm just wondering. :)Daniel P.

Hi Daniel! We've decided against it. Here is why: We want to have semi-rounded seats instead of textured boxes, but of course, this uses more polygons, so we save a little by not modelling EVERY seat. If we were to model every seat, performance would suffer, especially for those with older rigs. That being said, if we were to put seat numbers in, you can only imagine the letters we would get at support!"Hey.. I want to go to row 29, but the seat numbers end at a number far below that!! This isnt at all like my flight to Madrid, where I sat in the last row sniffing lav fumes the whole flight. #####??.. this sucks!!! You guys should die! Your wives are ugly!! I hope your houses burn down!" You get the picture ;-)VinPMDGwww.precisionmanuals.comhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/devteam.jpg

Yeah,I've seen a couple that were in that general arena. Luckily 99% of the support email is professional and courteous. Just always has to be that 1% :-lolRegardsPaul Gollnick :-cool Technical Operations/Manager Customer SupportPrecision Manuals Development Groupwww.precisionmanuals.comhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/devteam.jpg

Vin, or anyone at PMDG, Perhaps you could create a signature banner with the quote about life. It might be a quick way to identify those with less than possitive attitudes.Ryan Jones:-hah

Ryan,Thats a pretty good idea :) Could be something like 'The glass is half full' and the other one could be 'The glass is half empty' :-lol

Fred,The glass IS half empty!Until the 8/900 is released, that is ;-)After that it will be half full until the 747-400 is released, then it will become three quarters full. When the BBJ is released, it will be full and I need to buy more glasses for PMDG's future projects! :-)Best Regards and Happy EasterMax (Bern, LSZB)http://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004betateam.jpg http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg
