How to 'Reboot' the FMC??

Recommended Posts

Guest GunDog

Okay... first, I am a newbie to PMDG 737. So, perhaps I am missing something obvious, however, I 'thought' I thoroughly searched the manuals, but for the life of me, I cannot figure this one out.I am flying along enroute to my destination following my FMC, when I get a wild hair and decide to add a waypoint. Sometimes it works... sometimes... it doesnt. :(When I get all scrwed up and get spaghetti in my FMS, I simply want remove EVRERYTHING and re-insert my waypoints/route. But for some reason the FMC 'remembers' my screwed up points even though I try to erase them. I erase DISCOs and way points and approaches and somehow, they pop back in again. Is there a way to reboot the FMC in flight w/o turning off the PC?Any suggestions???Second question regarding the fuel/weight management program that I run before loading my MSFS 2002. Does it simply keep the last saved setting for all follow-on flights???ThanksMark

Mark,To get rid of all route related data, go to RTE PAGE 1/x, and press the DELETE key, then select LSK 1L, and then EXEC. This will remove destination, departure, and all waypoints. You can then proceed on entering a new route(at least, partially).
