SID/STAR Soft constraints

Recommended Posts

Laszlo,I think the syntax is something like:NAVAID BP052 AT OR ABOVE 2000 or for a 5000B alt constraint:NAVAID BP052 AT OR BELOW 5000But I'm not sure at all. Terry might want to chip in here.Hope it helps,

Hi there. As Mats says, these syntax' are working. Ex "NAVAID BP052 AT OR ABOVE 2000" will show up in the FMC as 2000A.As you already may have discovered, new procedures "PMDG_procedures_0404" from Terry was published from the PMDG site yesterday. The files contains these new commands.

Great to hear! I'll be downloading Terry's new guide immediately. I will be updating my CYVR (Vancouver) file with soft altitude constraints. Currently, I am using ficticious hard constrains to keep the aircraft within the parameters of the real-life STARS.Roger

Howdy Laszlo>Why im not able to create soft constraints in a SID in this>format: NAVAID BP052 2000A (At or Above 2000 feet)???Wrong format is your problem. New format isNAVAID [OVERFLY] name [AT OR ABOVE][AT OR BELOW][alt][sPEED kts]Items in brackets are optional (don't use the brackets).I have an updated tutorial now available in the avsim library. Filename is "737_procedure_tutorial_3.zip".Further, as was already mentioned here, my 0404 cycle is also out and available on the PMDG site and at my new, minimal, site athttp://home.sw.rr.com/filesherenow/page1.htmlRegards and have fun making procedures.Terry
