TOD with a step climb?

Recommended Posts

Afternoon all,Anyone know what's going on here? Cruising FL350 (350 dialled in on MCP with 370 entered on cruise page), I'd entered a step-climb to FL370 on the legs page. Is it right for the CRZ page to show a distance to TOD?http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/73750.jpgCheers + thanks!Paulhttp://www.strontiumdog.plus.com/sbird.jpgwww.BAVirtual.co.uk[p]Officially licenced by British Airways plc for use of name and logo[/p]

Well, I've no knowledge of the real aircraft of course, but I would've thought a climb would be indicated by something other than a descent. TOC maybe more appropriate?Cheers,Paulhttp://www.strontiumdog.plus.com/sbird.jpgwww.BAVirtual.co.uk[p]Officially licenced by British Airways plc for use of name and logo[/p]

That TOD is the distance to when you start your descent; I am sure you know that. I do not believe the FMC will indicate a 'TOC' timer during a step climb.

Ah. I understand.Yes. Cruize climbs are not 100% modelled, as the CRZ page should really have the same look than the CLB page...744 will be more accurate :-)anthonyAnthony MertonPrecision Manuals Developmenthttp://www.precisionmanuals.com

OK Anthony - thanks for replying. Not a criticism, just an observation that confused me:-)Cheers,Paulhttp://www.strontiumdog.plus.com/sbird.jpgwww.BAVirtual.co.uk[p]Officially licenced by British Airways plc for use of name and logo[/p]
