reality xp gauges for the 1900 are they worth it ?

Featured Replies

Hi Flight simmers .I havent tred the Reality xp gauges for the 1900d yet , but can anyonelet me know what the difference is when you use them . Are they a lot better than the standard gauges for the PMDG 1900 EXPRESS . I am very seriously considering them . The 1900d is a Perfect little CommuterAircraft that i cant go a day without flying . :-rollHappy VFR Flying .DewlinerKevin Pardy

Yes, yes, and yes again.... there is just no comparison.Read my B1900 review on the Avsim front page (see right side bar) for further information and pictures.

Hi Bert ,I checked out the review done by you on the avsim front page .Excellent Review my Friend . I purchased the Activ Camera Protoo because Vin Scimone said it would be worth it , He was right .You and Vin both convinced me that Reality xp gauges would be worth buying as well . Many Thanks to you and Vin for helping me decide to get the Reality xp Gauges as well. Kevin Pardy (dewliner0;-)

You will not regret the purchase. :-)Note that the RXP integration instructions are well hidden on the PMDGsite.. under Misc Downloads.Another way is to get my add-on yoke for the B1900. Look for it in the Avsim library. It comes with a "ready to go" panel.cfg file...You still need to put the RXP ini file into the B1900 folder though...Post a note here if this does not work for you! Also, last time I looked, there was a patch on the RXP site to upgrade the JL2 gauges to the latest level (2.1).. they work OK without, but you do not get the rising runway on the EADI. Look under support/Product Updates..

I have both the Jetline 2 and Jetline 4 Gauges and they are SWEET! You won't regret it. The B1900 is far more fun to fly with the addon.

Hi,Tnank you for your explanations, I just buy the JetLine 2 gauge, but, while downloading the integrating utility from PMDG, I saw an utility to integrate the JetLine 4 gauge, my question is :is it better to fly the B1900 with the Jetline 2 or Jetline 4 Gauges ??? and why (more easy, realistic, more complete...)Take care, thanksMartialLFST

>is it better to fly the B1900 with the Jetline 2 or Jetline 4>Gauges ??? and why (more easy, realistic, more complete...)Martial,You should fly with JetLine 2 Avionics as the Jetline 4 set is too much for this Beech and in real life used for example in bigger airliners like the Saab 2000 turboprop and Bombardier CRJ-200 etc.But the Jetline 2 Avionics is an avionics package that can be fitted in almost any aircraft in real life, even the older ones like the 1900D.Best regards,Markus

ok, thank you MarkusBest regards,MartialLFST

JetLine2 is the gauge set for the B1900.Jetline4 would be suitable for a Boeing 7X7...You got the right set.

Like the other folks said, JL2 is correct. You CAN have the JL4, but it doesn't suit. It's overkill for the B1900.Although the JL4 is great on Jets, I love them both.

Another vote for Reality XP (RXP) products!! I love their GPS (GNS 530)! It is 10 times better than the Microsoft version. Also, the JL2 and JL4 are great, as is the Weather radar!!As the Beech 1900D is concerned, the JL2 is all you need. The JL4 wouldn't be realistic and probably not fit. I use the JL2 and the Garmin GNS 530 from RXP. A great combo for a great plane!Chris

Thank you all for your precisions,The JL2 gauges a really good, I don't regret my purchase, and I use too the weather radar, which is very good too, with the integration cfg that PMDG give on misc dowloads, the cockpit is really smart.I am starting now a world tour with that configuration...ThanksMartialLFST
