I have recently done the default flight in the 600.Everything worked fine except for the autotrottle. it will not stay on. i have clicked it a number of times but it just flashes on then off again. Any ideas what i am doing wrong.

Alan,I don't know if this is your problem, but if you don't have both main engine generator switches on (Blue) it won't engage. It was one of the first things that ever happened to me and I spent hours trying to work it out. I asked a RL pilot friend and he immediately said this answer as it happens like that on the real thing.Impresssive from a real as it gets point of view don't you think.I'd be interested to know if it sorts it.RegardsGeoff

Yep, just make sure when you start the engines to switch the generators to the engins and take it off APU or GRD POWERNick B.http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg--AMD Athlon XP 3200+ @ 2.2 Ghz400W Power supply3x 80 mm Case FansSoyo VIA KT600 Dragon PlusnVidia GeForce FX 5200 128 mb2 x 512 PC400100 GB Western DigitalMicrosoft Sidewinder Precision 2

"I don't know if this is your problem, but if you don't have both main engine generator switches on (Blue) it won't engage. "I was on a real 737NG the other day and had no problem switching the A/T on with both the engine generators off. I think further clarification is required here ;-)Cheers.Ian.

"Yes look into that one a little more Ian. Kinda important don't ya think?"Last I heard, there is no MEL relief for TOGA switches, so perhaps no one has tried it in real life.So far I'm getting nowhere with my inquiries. The manuals seem to suggest you can engage N1 for takeoff, but they get a bit vague when it comes to Hold mode. One pilot responded to my question by saying you can't use N1 on the ground (non-PPRuNe response). The NG pilots on the Bluecoat forum seem to be on holiday or don't know." and I wonder why and what it matters on ours??"Sorry, I'm not sure I understand the question.... You mean because the TOGA switches never break down on "ours"? (Or because ours is modelled perfectly?). :-)Cheers.Ian.P.S. BTW, can you access our Fogbugz forum?

No just wondering why it was modelled the way it is, means someone had to check the real one to think you could not flip the switch without.. Yes I just tried BUZ and all is well. You input the same pass and user name?Best Wishes,
Randy J. Smith

P M D G's 747-400

coming to a runway near you
Caution! "You input the same pass and user name?"Thanks Randy... I was using a pass name "Qavion"... instead of "Quavion" (I think Robert keeps sticking "u" in my name to stir me up ;-)).Cheers.Ian.
