Force Fedback 2 & XP

Recommended Posts

Guest

My Force Feedback 2 stick is fairly old now but never the less worked ok until a few days ago. The problem is that as soon as I touch the throttle N1 goes to 55% and the only way I can reduce the power is to hit F1, also the nose wheel steering is chaotic. On the set up screen (properties) the slider and rotation function ok and and test area all seems ok. Gear, flaps kneeboard and brakes all function as normal. I have read on a forum that it appears that the early FFB2 stick is not supported by XP. Has anyone any comments that may help. It has frustrated my simming for the time being. Thanks Bealine

Force Feedback is definately not recommended for NG and isn't supported as far as I'm aware. The FF gives false feel and can actually make the aircraft much more difficult to fly.Sounds like you have a joystick jitter problem to me - not easy to resolve without dismantling and cleaning the pots etcI ended up buying a CH Yoke. Fantastic - but then if I hadn't discovered NG I wouldn't have bought the Yoke. It is very worth it IMHO :)
