July 14, 200421 yr Can anyone help? Broadband is not available in my area.My connection only lasts for two hours.I was horrified to find I could not continue a download after I had put back the lost connection. Is there anything I can do or have I lost my money buying this product? Please helpBest wishesNeil K Sharpe
July 14, 200421 yr Neil I'm sure the folks at PMDG wouldn't let you lose your cash like that.Best bet would be to get someone on broadband to download it for you and spin it onto a CD methinks
July 15, 200421 yr Get yourself a down load manager e.g. 'Download Accelerator'. You can then resume any broken downloads. If you get a lot of stuff of the internet this sort of s/w is an invaluable investment. Regards Keith B. Life is a short dash between two dates on a Tombstone
July 15, 200421 yr I use Download Accelerator Plus V7, I think it is the only program of its type supported by the PMDG server. I too have dial-up which tends to disconnect every 2-3 hours, and have used DAP to get the 1900D Express product with no problems.DAP is adware so you don't have to pay for it and run a Google search to find a suitable download site.issac
July 15, 200421 yr EDITED BY RSRANDAZZOPhilip: Thanks for your post. Do you mind contacting Niel privately on that topic?I removed the content of your message because it comes ticklishly close to being an EULA problem- even though we both know it is well intentioned. ;-)Thanks, Philip!
July 15, 200421 yr I also would love to download the 800/900 upgrade and have a few questions:1. If I download this product in 30 days, will the download have ALL the recent updates that have just been specified in the above email from R.R.??2. Can I use DAP as a download accelerator and not have PMDG websites look upon it as a threat and kick me off of the connection?3. I currently have 'GetRight' download accelerator software and Vince emailed me last month and said that 'download accelerators were a threat to the PMDG servers and would not work.....Is that fact or will the DAP accelerator work...Thanks & Regards,Jack KGSP
July 16, 200421 yr JackPoint 2. DAP works fine with PMDG downloads. Regards Keith B. Life is a short dash between two dates on a Tombstone
