Virtual Passengers?

Recommended Posts

Guest zanadu6365

Last night I was flying and I got to thinking, how come in all the planes (not just PMDG) the have a VCAB, Why are the seats empty? Is it a ghost plane? Just curious as to why it hasn't been done, or at least attempted...:0)

I'll tell you one big reason, it's because of frame rate loss. Another issue I suppose could be the number of polys limited by FS in the model itself but since I do not develope I am guessing on this last point ;-) Best Wishes,[h4]Randy J. Well the passengers don't have to look like supermodels...ha, even a body with a bag over the head would work, would be funny too...Just an Idea I thought I would throw out...

Well forgive me for being short, but it's that plain pointless? We'd have to make this into the SIMS. Next thing you know people asking for a flight dispatcher to do planning for them, then inbuilt companies, also somewhere in between HIGHER PAY, then go on a strike, then car, then a nice appartment with own kitchen then a spouse .. the list can go on ... so we really need to stop somewhere. All this is just eye candy, nothing to do with real flying, which is the whole point of a simulator. LOL .. try asking a simulator instructor why there are no people boarding the plane .. :D :Dcheers,Terence

They all got held up at the security check point and missed the plane?Heck I like to think of it as an airliner all to myself. After flying real life to Vegas for 5-1/2 hours and hearing a drunk idiot loudmouth a few rows back complain about not being able to smoke the whole way, then try to cough up both lungs over the state of Colorado, I will pass on virtural passengers. I think that is much more important to be able (as PMDG is) to "load" your airplane simulating cargo and pax and fuel than have frame-eating virtual pax...

If the passengers were naked we'd have to have some nice ladies on board ;-)We could hire some Stewardesses from Hooters and make them frame-rate friendly hehehehe
