The Problem with Music . . .

Recommended Posts

Guest Heather 636

. . . don't play it on the flight deck! Don't be alarmed if you see my DC-3 gently "wiggling" it's way through the sky. Nothing wrong with the plane, just me.I have a boom-box next to me playing some old Fats Domino tunes, which are great. Can't help but tap your foot to that stuff; the drawback is what you are tapping your foot on! Rudder pedals!Tends to put a bit of a wiggle in the flight. I'd hate to think what kind of flight performance would result were I to put in some of that "technoized" classical stuff. I love it but poor Vivaldi would be turning in his grave. On the other hand, I'll bet ole' Amadeus would love it. Playing it in flight would probably cause me to do aerobatics, not good in a DC-3.Cheers!HeatherWhen it absolutely, positively, has to be there overnight, I'll get it there the next day; but when you're #2, you try harder. ;)http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3d18e8077527c2cb.jpg

When I use to fly years ago, I would use the ADF as an AM radio. Had to listen to something!! The Aztec I flew had an FM radio with headphones, but only for the passengers! grrrrrrrr!Don

Pilots aren't supposed to be listening to music!! We're supposed to be serious and steady and studious........ oh if the passengers only knew!! :-lol (Just teasing, of course -- about not listening to music.)Heather, I'd have the same problem if I were listening to my CDs while trying to fly. But with me in a chopper, the results would probably be disastrous! :-eek -Lindy :-wave
