October 11, 200421 yr Hi guys......this is a weird one for me. I hope someone else has this problem.Every time I have tried to fly a VATSIM flight out of KORD in the PMDG 737 -700, my frame rate goes from 34 to only about 5-12 fps. I am running Active Sky, AVC tuner, and SB Relay as per usual VATSIM procedures. This only happens out of KORD, no other place, and all gates are affected the same way, so it doesn't matter where you load up. Usually my frame rates are locked at 35 and stay there, but this drop in FPS makes KORD impossible! One other weird thing....the fps goes down only in front views in 2D cockpit, not forward R/L or full R/L views in 2D cockpit. Anybody have any ideas?Cheers......Pipper
October 11, 200421 yr And not to mention Chicago and ZAU itself is a busy place. How many aircraft are around you?
October 11, 200421 yr Author Thanks Jered and George.......No, I am running straight FS9 scenery, no mods to KORD. This prob happens both when other online planes are there (1 or 2 for example) as well as when I am the only guy there. I don't think its related to the number of aircraft I am flying with because I regularly fly out of KLAS, KCLE, KDCA, KLGA, KJFK, and lots more, and I never get a problem like this. Its only at KORD. I told you it was weird!I wonder if anyone has recently flown out of KORD using VATSIM, ACTIVE SKY, AVC tuner and SB Relay using the 737-700 or other PMDG plane. Did you have problems at all with frame rate?I guess I should probably try to eliminate programs I can, like Active sky to see if thats the prob. I would hate not to be able to use KORD. Thanks for your help guys!Cheers Pipper
October 11, 200421 yr One thing you could check is if you have a memory leak, see the memory usage while having this problem.I don't think this is the solution, since the other "view" is ok... :/
October 11, 200421 yr Very stange indeed...Just did a flight yesterday into KORD. VATSIM w/lots of traffic, Active Sky, AVC tuner, SB Relay using AA 700. I do have the Simflyers Scenery though which slows FPS down quite a bit. Everything was fine. George Morris
October 11, 200421 yr Author George......see if you can fly OUT of KORD. Set up your flight, and see if your fps drops. I keep getting the drop in frames for no apparent reason. Once in a while my icon for Flight sim just doesn't respond either and I have to reboot. Most of the time its out of KORD.I really am bemused because it never happens any other place. Sigh.......Again my thanks for your replies!Cheers.......Pipper
