Problem with V-speeds

Recommended Posts

Guest meyomyx

You're missing something - if the FMC won't give you the speeds, it doesn't have enough information to calculate them.If you click on the right edge of the FMC (in a sort of blank rectangular box area) you can enter FMC data with the keyboard. The work KBD displays in the FMC window. Remember to click it again before using the keyboard to control aircraft systems/radios etc!

Hi Joaquin,In response to your second question - yes, you can enter waypoints, rotues, ZFW's etc into the FMC using the keyboard. You will notice on the right hand side border of the FMC about 2/3 of the way down is a 'black strip' that is clickable. When you click this, in the bottom right hand corner of the FMC display you will see KBD. The FMC is now in keyboard mode (so to speak) and yo can enter your information using the keyboard. To disengage KBD mode, simply click the area which used to engage it, and the messag KBD will dissappear from your FMC display.Hope this helps!

By the way, if you have been using keyboard entry for the FMC, the keyboard will automatically revert to normal when you close the FMC window(ie, no need to press K). Thoughtful, eh? BR,Frank
