Speed Brake

Since updating to the 800/900 I can no longer use the key pad to return the speed brake lever to it's closed position. Searching this board I found a few references that said the Shift + default key would return it. Is the "default" key the "/" key? I tried shift + /, /, shift +, and a few other combinations but with no luck. I can use the mouse but prefer the key board if possible. I have had a look throught the manual but if it is there I missed it. Any suggestions?Dave

Yeah I know. It's been discussed many times. PMDG tried to model the spoiler to act more realistically, but in turn we lost the arming capabilities. I think the deploy key should still work, but not shift-/. Either way, you must arm with the mouse in the throttle panel. I just assigned a button on my yoke to model the full depoly action and I use it now as opposed to arming.

It was changed. To arm the spoliers you must set it manually from the throttle quadrant byt clicking or draging to the armed position. This can be a bit tricky so make sure that the actual position on the throttle quadrant is lined up and not dragged past the armed line because the light might just stay on showing armed and they most likely will fail to deploy on T/D. Further, if you armed say on descent but need to use them, simply hit / to deploy AND SHIFT / to return to the PREVIOUS STATE, which in this case was in the armed position. Best Wishes,[h4]Randy J. I don't even try to arm my Randy. I have then gone outside (LOL) to look and nothing. I actually do what I see a lot of airliners do, I deploy them as soon as my back wheels touch. Just a little realism on my part ;) I suppose the arming method deploys them before the nose is down, but I've never looked to see since it's hit or miss.

Thanks for the replies guys but no matter how I try I my lever will not return to any position using Shift / (or any other combo I have tried). So it looks as if I can only fully extend using the keyboard and use the mouse for the rest (including arming).Dave
