Strange loading procedure

Recommended Posts

Anybody have any idea what is up with this? When I load a PMDG 737 this is how it loads. It take a very long time. Once in a while it will load normally. Thanks, Joe

Video driver issuedue to the full screen for sure. And regarding the loading time. You are experiencing the NG loading the NAVDATA. That happense every first time you load the NG in an FS session. You can't see the dialog box because of your video driver problem but it's there telling you it is loading the nav data.Hope it helps

The dialog box does show up, it just did not come out in this view. I have a GeForce 6800 Ultra graphics card. Any ideas on how to "tweak" it to get rid of this issue? Joe

This is easy to check, simply hit "CTRL-ALT-DEL" and see how much it is using. I did notice MUCH improvement going from 512 MEGS to 1 GIG..
Randy J. Smith
Curruption? Yeah but this does not effect the sim, you can laways turn away while loading ;-) It's the loading screen, not "in game". If you desire no curruption while it's loading then try it in windowed mode.
Randy J. Smith
Randy,Am running a full GIG of RAM. But now that it has been brought up, I did first notice this issue when I got the 6800 Ultra Graphics card. This is something I can live with...just wondered if there might be a way to get rid of it. Once loaded, everything is fine. Thanks for the input to all.Regards,Joe

Miquel,I have the same problem with my current set up with a GeForce 4 ti4400 (no laughing) :-) when I use any drivers above 53.11. With the 53.11 drivers it works normally. Not sure what the deal is with the later driversRegardsPaul Gollnick :-cool Technical Operations/Customer Operational SupportPrecision Manuals Development Groupwww.precisionmanuals.comhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/devteam.jpg

On mine it happens in full windowed mode, switch to windowed mode and it is not there. Don't have a clue as to why.
Randy J. Smith
