Hi, All:I'm considering buying some newer RAM for my current board. Since my principal RAM hungry software is FS9, I'm just wondering IF FS9 addressES anything higher than 1024? Anybody know?Ron - CYEG

And then there's the upcoming 747? ;-)I also use WideFS which handles ActiveSky, FSBuild and so on but that RAM is handled by the client, of course. Not knocking PMDG's stuff but there 737 uses the most memory of any payware plane out there bar none. It is hoped that the 744 will use less through lessons learned by the team while making the 737.

Hi Ron,I'm running 1.5GB - IMHO between 1 and 1.5 max is all it will really use, as Randy says. I've no plans, or need to go higher. Sim runs very well with perhaps the occasional stutter, but hey, who's doesn't. Must say my PMDG737 runs very well.I have a 2 year old graphics card (GF4 Ti4200 128mb) so that's next on the agenda for replacement. RegardsEddy

I love my PMDG 737NG but the FlightOne ATR72-500 seems to make my computer work harder than the NG. I think PMDG did a great job especially with the 800/900.

Well if you can swing it... the new PCI Express stuff is awesome and now it's affordable. Only problem is that you need the new boards and chipsets as well. You can use exisitng DDR 400 on sp,e of the ASUS boards. I'm now using RAID 0 as well and the I/O is impressive. Thanks for the input to all.- Ron McLeod CYEG
