RW/APP CRS ERROR

Recommended Posts

Sometimes the inbound course in the FMC Navdata differs slightly from that of FS9. Just recheck the course with FS9, if it's off by 2 or 3 degrees go with the FMC.Dave FisherCYYZP4 2.8 GB 478P 533 MHZ CPUP4P800S Asus Motherboard768 DDRGeforce Ti 4200/128Maxtor 40 Gig ATA 133 HD x2WDC WD800 80 Gig HDhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpg

Thanks Dave, but I do not understand what you mean with your advice: I use only PMDG FMC to fly and up to date navigation data from NAVDATA web site (now 02/05 installed). *) ILS route for LIML 36R runway is 357;*) I am turning (a 90 degrees left turn) to intercept the ILS LOC (I switch LOC button ON during left turn);*) gauge indicates that I am under ILS descent path (supposed to be the right position to intercept it correctly); At that time I receive the "RW/APP CRS ERROR" message.Have I to wait to be closer to the ILS localizer before to switch LOC button?Andreahttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpghttp://fs2crew.com/linepilot.jpg

To get rid of this error message, be sure to put into your CRS window in the MCP the exact value found in the FMC (INIT REF) when you select the appch speeds. If your CRS value is different even of 1 degree from that value, you'll always get the RW/APP CRS ERROR.And I suggest you to take a not greater than 45 degree turn to intercept smoothly a LOC with the A/P engaged.
