Is there a "Constellation" out there somewhere?

There will be soon, but not today. Best one I have seen is the Dave McQueen one. I just recently repainted it and posted it here at AVSIM. I forget the zip name. Do a search for my name (Moser) or McQueen and look for his TWA version. It's about 9 megs and is plane panel and sounds, best one out there and I have tried them all. It is set up for 2002 also.Don

Hi Cliff,1. Create a folder called "Connie"2. Copy your MODEL, PANEL, SOUND, and TEXTURE folders inside this "Connie" folder.3. Copy AHML1049.air, AIRCRAFT.cfg and README.TXT inside this "Connie" folder.4. Now copy your "Connie" folder with it's contents into your aircraft directory.5. I love the Connie's at calclassic.com but FS2K2 is crying out for a shiny new g-max updated version especially in the MATS livery/paint scheme!I want one so bad I'm learning g-max just to make one myself. But that in know way says there will be one out from me any time this year. You can't copy the files directly into the AIRCRAFT folder - they have to be inside the Connie folder, which is inside the AIRCRAFT folder.To copy the Connie folder into the AIRCRAFT folder, it's easiest to use Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer). You should find it somewhere on the Start menu. Start it, and in the left pane double click on the drive where you have FS installed, then double click on the FS folder. You should now see the AIRCRAFT folder.Now do the same type of thing until you see the Connie folder you made in the right half of the screen. Now drag the Connie folder over to the AIRCRAFT folder (right side to left side of screeen). The Connie folder will move into the AIRCRAFT folder.If you can't do this, you can create a new Connie folder inside the aircraft folder by opening the AIRCRAFT folder in Explorer or My Computer, and then selecting File/New/Folder from the menu. Then rename New Folder to Connie by typing the word Connie right after you create the new folder. Now copy all the files into your new Connie folder.The file(s) in the Connie's EFFECTS folder should be copied into your FS2002 EFFECTS folder - it will give you a "smokey" startup (I created it). Hi all, Just a note to let you know I have frame rate friendly AI traffic versions of Dave's TWA L-1049 Super Connie at Cal Classic. They now fly better, and I have included L-749 Connie and L-1649A Starliner versions as well.Also note that these are now hosted at Cal Classic. Tom I'm grateful to you. I'd never done this before but I followed your instructions and now she's included in my list of favourite planes.I'm constantly surprised at how helpful members of our hobby are to each other. Tom Gibson, maybe you can field this one...I love the plane...but it is a bear to handle, especially when it comes to gaining altitude. Unless I am missing something, there is no operative fue; mixtue control...which means the pilot cannot lean out the fuel at higher flight levels. I begin having problems around 7000 feet depending upon wx conditions. And, getting above much more than 10k is heavy lifting. I filed a SB flight plan over the weekend for fl170...but had to revise it to 9000 on a flight from kcvg to kcle. I hope the new Connie will be either more forgiving, or there is some info about how to handle this beautiful but tempermental lady. Thanks!Sherman KaplanHighland Park IL
