July 14, 200223 yr Hi all, I have been changing my VGA card from an ASUS 7700 GF2 GTS to a Creative GF4 Ti 4200. Also changed to the latest nVidia 30.30 drivers.Only one problem: My refresh rate is set (stuck) at 60. Even with the 28.32 drivers that came with the new card, the refresh rate remains at 60.How can I adjust it to say 75 or higher? (The flickering really gets my eyes)Also lost the smoke effect when typing "I". No smoke appears, but the aircraft textures where the smoke used to be, disappear.-Even removed and re-installed FS 2002. No help.Any ideas? Thanks for your help.P.S. July 14, 200223 yr Hi.Have you tried under Windows Display Settings, Advanced button, Monitor tab? This is where you change the refresh rate.
July 14, 200223 yr Here's a link to great freeware utility that will let you easily and quickly change either refresh rate or resolution, or both. (And, if the need ever arises, it works with winXP).http://www.entechtaiwan.com/files/multires.exeTrip
