Ladies and Gents,This is an extract of a chat I had with a fellow PMDG pilot this morning and I thought it may be of some use to post it here with the kind permission of Musashi: Musashi says:You extend flaps on 30 or 40 and in full landing conf Musashi says:TAC asked you to go around around minimas (DA) Musashi says:do you rectract flaps first to gain speed or wait to gain speed? Musashi says:what is the best way Musashi says:retract gear + gain speed and retract flaps Musashi says:or immediately go to TO flapsBrad Marsh says:OK, I take it you are two engined at this time because you have Flaps 30 or 40?Brad Marsh says:As with all things it is a step by step process, although several are done almost simultaneously but they MUST be done in strict order Musashi says:okBrad Marsh says:First the PF says ' Go Around, Flap 15' is a loud and clear voice Musashi says:okBrad Marsh says:PF presses TOGA button/s and rotates aircraft to Pitch 15Brad Marsh says:PNF will call 'Positive Rate'Brad Marsh says:PF calls 'Gear UP, Check Thrust'Brad Marsh says:to make sure you have GA thrust on (Yellow bug on N1 indicator)Brad Marsh says:passing 400AGL you call for, or select, a lateral mode, ir LNAV or HDG Brad Marsh says:and personally I would engage AP if it is not already engagedBrad Marsh says:passing 1000' the PF calls 'Bug Up'Brad Marsh says:then follow the Missed Approach as per the chart of ATC instruction and clean up as per after Takoeff Any further questions please LMK.ATB,
