I'm leaning towards building a sim flight deck versus building a homebuilt aircraft (for many different reasons)My question: I am a PMDG convert and now fly this aircraft exclusively. Does anyone have a simpit out there that flies the PMDG 737. I would love to hear the succeses/failures and complications associated with doing thisLook forward to hearing from you allJeffP.S. I realize there is a sim cockpit forum and I'm dual>posting this message there as well.Now that go-flight is selling their products as PARTS as well as integrated units, and FSUIPC can write values that go-flight can read, it really is possible to do an awful lot with this stuff to make a realistic cockpit.hardest part will be building an FMC unit, i think.

Mr. Metzinger-You always seem to have an answer for my questions, it is most appreciated. And answers are rewarded with more questions.Do you know if FSUIPC/PMDG is limited to go-flight components? I'm still in the initial stages of this endeavor, it seems spooling up is the most challenging part...Respectfully,Jeff

definitely not limited to go-flight. There's a device called EPIC which I think is a pretty sophisticated analog-to-digital conversion system. FSUIPC has a driver for it, and probably some others.Check out Pete Dowson's web page at http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html

There's always project Magenta. If you haven't heard about it or seen it, you're gonna flip when you check out there website. This company specializes in producing the hardware and software interfaces for flight deck homebuilders. So they sell the actual hardware parts for Overheads, CDUs MCPs etc (all Boeing 737NG style) all with accompanying software that interacts with FSUIPC and WideFS. However, to have these babes you must have muliple PCs and screens and a wooden or metal frame to install them.
