B1990C ILS cross hairs not visible?

Hello:I am flying the B1900C at the moment and I note that the ILS cross hairs are hardly noticeable when making an ILS approach, even with the main gauges magnifiedIs this normal? Perhaps there is something I am not doing correctly?Thanks
