Saving location as well as FMC and preflight data?

I recently purchased the 700 and 800 sim programs and have been using each of them. I notice when I save a flight or location and when I begin a new flight the location is correct but all the data in the FMC and MCP is missing. Is there anyway to save the location as well as the data programed for departure.Thanks,JM

Patrick, thank you for the reply. I will try the method mentioned in the FAQ. I was actually wondering if it is possible to have the A/C programed and ready for departure at the end of the runway, then save the location and data stored in the FMC and MCP as the default start up location when opening the program. Currently when I same the information the A/C will default to location but the FMC and MCP data is lost.JM

I too would like to know if there is a way to save a programed rout in the FMC.I just bought the PMDG 737-600/700 and it's a real bummer when you spend 20 minutes programming in a rout then screw up the takeoff and have to restart and re-program the FMC all over again.If there is a way to create and save routs please advise.Thanks.Ramiro

You CAN save all of the route data in the FMC, i.e., the lateral or horizontal flight profile of your track of flight. And you can also save the flight in mid-air in any mode as well. However, you will need to re-initialize the FMC on loading a saved flight and take certain other steps on the MCP and overhead to ensure normal flight or else it won't work right. It takes a little time, not a lot, but it requires a bit of patience and precision.I use exactly the same procedure on the PMDG NG series to re-load saved flights as with the PSS 747-400 and 777 series and the procedure works perfectly -- once you know how to do it!
