Global Navigation System?Edit:Used with both analog and digital systems, the GNS-XLS has an embedded GPS receiver and interfaces with external sensors, including VOR, DME, TACAN and inertial nav. With its radio management function, it will automatically select the best VOR and DME stations, depending on strength and location.Drawing from a worldwide nav database, based on Jeppesen data, the GNS-XLS incorporates long-range, great circle en-route, approach and vertical nav (VNAV) capabilities. It supplies data to the Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS) and is basic area navigation (BRNAV)-compliant. The GNS-XLS has a 4-inch (10-cm)-diameter liquid crystal displayTaken from here:http://www.aviationtoday.com/cgi/av/show_m...ile=0901fms.htm
