Thanks Reddog! Just recently got that blue one, thanks to Mike Kelley and Grey Wolf who sent it to me.To tell you the truth, not sure where they found her but both of these gentlemen did some fine tweaking and she flies like a charm now.The only one I had been able to find was the gray one and it would sink when I landed it; not good! Here's another source for the grey one.FS2000 Grumman F2F-6 Duck. One of the US Navy s most enduring and popular multirole airplanes. Includes both Wheel and Float versions. All moving parts. By Tom Schaad. Features panel by John McGUIGAN jmcguigan@@WWDC.comF77JFDC2.ZIPhttp://www.dimstar.net/files/fs_panel.phpScroll down just shy of half way. Just checked. Might go back there too because I just noticed an Avro Lancaster reworked for FS2002. Might be worth taking a look at.Keep your eyes open gentlemen. When you see a hotpink duck fly over, with my trademark message girl on the nose, give a wave cause it's ME. ;)Cheers!Heather

Both ducks that are to be found on the elusively prohibitive AirIndigo site are available at simviation.com. Just search under FS2000/Vintage.Anyone sorted out the contact points for FS2002 yet to facilitate flotation, wake, etc? Yeah! They fixed it. But I won't take liberties with their tweaked files by sending without permission. Both very nice gentlemen and I have no doubt a message to them would get you the tweaked files.Hey guys! Maybe you ought to upload your cfg upgrade files to the AVSIM library for others who would like this airplane, a "floating" version. And again, thanks for your help on this problem.Sincerely,Heather

I'd feel odd about uploading the changes, since it wasn't my aircraft file to begin with (and I'm feeling *really* sensitive about those issues). If I think of it I'll write the author and ask him/her for permission. In the meantime I have no problem sharing what I did if someone wants to email me -- even better, I can post the procedure I was directed to that makes any plane floatable (teach a man to fish...)

Um, should note that here's one of the places I found the duck at:www.simviation.com/fs2000vintage10.htm(and not one of the "forbidden" sites, the less said about the better)

this one I have some one did up for CFS2 and when I got FS2002 I just copied it over and it works. It flys and floats but it don't want to slow down at all, takes forever to get it slow enough to land! If somwone has done a rework on the files could I please have them, my email reddog@enter.net I'm using the panel from the kingfisher for CFS2.USMC Retired

If any one of you 'Duck' aficionados would be so kind as to send me a modified aircraft.cfg and airfile that work properly in FS2002, you would spare my time for other FS development! Ta muchly (English for 'Thank you so much'). The email is MABeaumont@aol.com. Mark "Dark Moment" BeaumontP.S. Just read all the above more carefully ... are YOU the man, Mike?http://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitak.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitakv3.jpg

I'll be glad to send them to you if Heather doesn't beat me first .Actually, she's helping a lot. Unfortunately, I'm stuck in this darn civil-service job and don't have access to my files until the afternoon (and don't you *even* start asking why I have the time to be on this forum -- your government dollars at work! LOL).

I hope Heather's not unwell ... it's been six minutes since your post and she hasn't posted a reply yet! Love ya, Heather ... :-rotor That would be great, Mike, thanks. I'm experimenting with one of my FS2002 Catalina set-ups but ... why mess about when there are better men than me who have done the job already!Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitak.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitakv3.jpg

On their way to you Mark, just in case Mike hasn't had the opportunity to get to you yet.Was busy tearing into an old MS Sidewinder. This being without a joystick, well, isn't nice.Got some of the sloppiness out of it. Only so much you can do with plastic. Discovered some loose screws inside on the circuit board which is also holding a spring-loaded mechanism together. Tightening those screws at least made it usable until I can get something else.Broke a nail though in the process :(Oh well, the pitfalls of flying.Cheers!!Heather
