Questions about Fred Clausen tutorial

Recommended Posts

Hi,I am newbies to pmdg and using Fred tutorial as a start and got the following questions:1. Section 'Engine Start and Taxi'. - Watch the EICAS display as the N2 increases. At 20% N2, open up the throttle panel, count 4 seconds, and then switch the right side Fuel Cutoff switch to on.Q: My EFIS style is'PFD/ND' which only shows N1 and EGT, how could i check N2.2. Section 'Takeoff'- The first text box instructs me 'At 1000 feet, engage the autopilot'Q: Which autopilot it refers to?- In the third bullet points, it instructs 'Once you pass 250 AGL, as indicated by PFD radar altimeter going blank, engage CMD A pilot.Q: So actually i engage autopilot at 1000 or 2500?Thanks,ThomasRgds,

>Q: My EFIS style is'PFD/ND' which only shows N1 and EGT, how>could i check N2.In the PMDG menu choose 737NG > Styles > EICAS > Compact display on>2. Section 'Takeoff'>- The first text box instructs me 'At 1000 feet, engage the>autopilot'>>Q: Which autopilot it refers to?>- In the third bullet points, it instructs 'Once you pass 250>AGL, as indicated by PFD radar altimeter going blank, engage>CMD A pilot.>>Q: So actually i engage autopilot at 1000 or 2500?I think Fred is in a better position to comment on his tutorial, but the master needs to be armed before pressing CMD A. It is in fact by activating CMD A (and not the master) that the IAS window is set to V2 + 20. I would assume that the tutorial refers to the master @ 1000, and CMD A @ 2500 AGL./sebastian
