Hello beta team, can I ask how smooth is the ADF tracking? Also I have never seen the amber max N1 line displayed on the upper EICAS yet. Does the PMDG744 have any form of flight envelope protection and can we program joystick/throttle buttons for the autopilot disconnect, for example? Paul(Anychance of some screenshots of the new "never been done before" features?)

Does the PMDG744 have any form of flight>envelope protection and can we program joystick/throttle>buttons for the autopilot disconnect, for example? 744 does not have envelope protection Airbus 'style' or even 777 'style'. The way Boeing views enevelop protection on 744 is that all modes of AP except the V/S are speed protected. Funny that you mentioned 'smooth' ADF tracking. Watching closely the Virgin Atlantic 744 DVD I watched how the crew was tracking Keflavik's ADF when approaching Iceland. The ADF marker was oscillating left/right (with rather large amplitude) all the time and I had no clue why it was doing it.Michael J.WinXP-Home SP2,AMD64 3500+,Abit AV8,Radeon X800Pro,36GB Raptor,1GB PC3200,Audigy 2http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_beta_member.jpg

ADFs arent the greatest thing in the world. At my airport we have an ADF approach to a 35R, but it if you fly the approach correctly you will acutally be on the outside of 35L, and even over the tarmac.

If you fly the LDS767 their modelling of the ADF is pretty impressive, also the 744 has, I believe, envelope protection in the form of stall, bank angle and over speed protection for flaps, gear etc... Also, does the heading select mode work correctly? i.e. turns over pi radians.Paul
