I'm pretty sure it's a standalone product, so it doesn't "need" any third party add-ons except for FSUIPC which will come with it...

Due to the limits of MSFS to be able to walk the entire cabin, Active Sky was the only option. Required items are one thing but AC was only to see the eye candy and the 737NG works fine without it.Cheers,JohnBoeing 727/737 & Lockheed C-130/L-100 Mechanichttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpg

You can hardly blame PMDG because a "limitaion" (a feature we all want) becuase MSFS doesn't inclde the function offered by ActiveCamera. In that case every company makeing a plane with a VC is to blame. I am not 100% sure however I guess that PMDG had come to an agreement with Peter Dowson so that B737 could be used with the free FSUIPC. Anyway personally I feel everybody should get a registred copy of FSUIPC wheter they need it or not just to show Peter the credit he deserved by all his efforts - if it hadn't been for FSUIPC I'm sure the MSFS world would be a dull place - Just my 2 cents ;-)http://jdtllc.com/images/RCbeta.jpghttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpgPelle F. Fair enough, based on what ou allready got I would say you also would need a Flight Planner, A good weather program, perhaps a flight logger and personally I got tired of the standard MSFS ATC - if you wonder why have a look here: www(DOT)liljendal.dk/flightsim/Default_ATC_EKCH.jpgLast but not least a bunch of maps/charts are also "a must" if you want to fly the SID/STAR-procedures. There are several payware options hower a lot of chars/maps can be downloaded for free: http://www.navdata.at/php/charts/charts.phphttp://jdtllc.com/images/RCbeta.jpghttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpgPelle F. Not much need for the "in flight moving map" with a product like PMDG's B737 or B747 for that matter, however for other/simpler planes its great. I started out with FS Navigator but resently I got FS Build (better/more detailed fuel planning and it takes winds into account when planning).Perhaps caused by a work-related defect (I'm a developer) however I can't look at a piece of software thinking how I would have done it differently (not saying I can do it better / probably can't ). But for me the perfect planner would contain the planning featurs of FS Build, the visual map from FS Navigator and finally the airport-view (when you zoom into an airport) of FS Flight Keeper - now that would be a killer planner ;-)http://jdtllc.com/images/RCbeta.jpghttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpgPelle F. I used to use FSBuild but then got hooked on the map inside while flying. Being able to jump around and replan your flight while flying is really nice ... also lets you sort out those fun picklists that pop up in your FMC when entering routes by going there and checking the frequency quickly to select the *right* navaid. One has to wonder if some of these excellent authors would think *merge* and make the ultimate tool addon. They certainly have the skills to do it.Ray
