well, i know how to use the winds page, but how would i obtain such data...? i know METARs can be obtained for airports, but rarely would i use an airport as a waypoint..basically, where can i find weather for navaids or areas..?

Easiest way would be to buy a weather program like Active Sky or FSMeteo that gives you a winds aloft readout for your route...

Aviationweather.gov has Wind Charts for several Levels (FL100-FL460 I think) for the whole world..Try Flight Folder and then select your region and forecast period...Matthias
