Queen FMC & FPL's, SID's, STARS

Featured Replies

Fantastic Sim, but I have a porblem, I have read through theforum pages and the user manual, but I am still struggling:How do I import Routes from PMDG FPL's into the FMC (I use the code given e.g. LHRAMS001) it kinda works but I am not getting any SID/STAR details coming up.Thank you in advance, and sorry if this question has been posted before I couldn't find anything.Cheers:-roller

Most likely because you have to set the SID/STARS yourself according to the day conditions and rules, and the runway in use.It would not make sense to include SID/STAR in a flightplan actually.I could also be that you dont have the needed SID/STARS installed,as they are different datas than FPs.Hope that helps.

Thanks,If i however load a route such as BKKSIN001 from the PMDG files it never gives me any options for SID/STAR in the DEP?ARR page when you select a runway?Am I loading things in the wrong order maybe?

Do you have the latest navdata and SID/STAR files installed?Regards,Jim

I think so, I only bought and downloaded the sim 2 weeks ago.

Try going to navdata.at which is kindly hosted by Richard Stefan and download the following PIC-PMDG 0511 airac:http://www.navdata.at/php/airac/airac.phpThen download the all-in-one SID/STAR package for PMDG here:http://www.navdata.at/php/sidstar/generate...hp?addon=767PICDownload a very comprehensive set of PMDG SID/STAR files made by Terry Yingling here:http://planepath.com/cgi-bin/countdown.cgi...edures_0511.zipRead all of the accompanying documentation and back-up your files accordingly. If installed properly, you should have all the procedures listed in your FMC.Jimhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpg

Thanks alot, should they be unzipped/saved anywhere in particular?

Anywhere you can easily work with them. The airac is an executable, the aoi from navdata comes in the form of multiple directories and planepaths files are ready to be unzipped to their respective folders. Jimhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpg

Jim thanks alot,I must sound completely useless, but without being funny when when "working" with them (the routes) etc how do I import them into fs9 flight planning or for that matter the FMC, I hav just loaded everything but when I put in dep/arr ports there are no SID's avaiable, so I must be really doing something wrong, trying desperately to find info in the FMC users manual, but I appear to be doing everything right.
