Good day folksI'm facing a big problem when flying and that leads me to not use the aircraft since the time I buy it.The question is:Everything works fine till I takeoff, after that the behaviour of the aircraft changes. viz:almost every 30 seconds freezes not only the aicraft but also all the programs like FSMETEO, FLIGHT KEEPER etc another 30 seconds all is goods and so on.On a 3 hours flight it will take me about 4 hours and for landing its really a mess. That happens only with this aircraf which sounds very strange.I deeply appreciate any help, otherwise I cant use the aircraft.Thank youJoao Borges

Hello Joao,I'd like to know your system specs(including FlightSim-version), and what programs you run when flying the PMDG 747.You have to free a lot of your system resources i.e RAM and virtual memory. The 747 uses a lot of ur system resources.Try freeing your RAM and let me know.I even suggest you to delete the FS9 config file and let FS rebuild it again.Regards,-NavneetFS 2004 Version 9.1AMD Athlon 64 3000+ATI Radeon 9600 128MB - Anti-Aliasing 6x1GB DDR400 Kingston RAMWestern Digital 30 GB - Seagate 120 GB (7200 rpm)Sony DVDRW - 16XLG Flatron 775FT 17' MonitorCreative SBLive! it looks like the autosave function from fsupic, which was discussed widely in the old forum) check if you have a autosave.dll in your modules folder. if yes, try to rename it to autosave.dll.bak and see if it can solve the problem

Hi Joao,You can try tune-up utilities available at :http://www.tune-up.com/info/lp/tuneup-utilities/?ap=1614or you can try Mem Turbo available at :www.memturbo.com (very useful utility)and use EnditAll version 2.0 to kill programs(presently in memory) that can be killed which itself will free your system's memory.EnditAll 2.0Available at : http://home.ptd.net/~don5408/toolbox/enditall/ (helps a lot great software)Let me know your results.-NavneetFS 2004 Version 9.1AMD Athlon 64 3000+ATI Radeon 9600 128MB - Anti-Aliasing 6x1GB DDR400 Kingston RAMWestern Digital 30 GB - Seagate 120 GB (7200 rpm)Sony DVDRW - 16XLG Flatron 775FT 17' MonitorCreative SBLive! While you are at it, go to your hardware settings and dissable HT. Produced a noticeable impact on my P4-3.2- Neeraj.

Neraaj, gents,I would not be that sure HT will impact his system. I have a 2.8GHz system with HT on. I've tested both with and without HT and didn't see any difference what-so-ever.I do remember that some add-on had difficulties with HT though. But as I recall it was an add-on which I didn't have or planned on getting so I forgot all about it. ;-)But by all means go ahead and try.Cheers,
