Changing default position of panel switcher

Recommended Posts

I like to place the panel switcher right at the top of the instrument panel. See the attached screenshot. If you would like to do this also, open the PMDG747 aircraft folder, then open the panel folder, then open the panel.cfg file. Go to Window16 and make the following modification.(Window16) <--- actually appears with square brackets in filefile=PS.bmp file_1024=PS.bmpsize_mm=358,42position=1window_pos=0.370,0.355 <--- ADD THIS LINEvisible=1ident=30gauge00=PMDG_747400_Main!PanelSwitcher, 0,0,358,42,YESThe panel switcher will appear in the new location at startup and when you open/close it (unless you drag it to a new location). The windshield bar still serves as the open/close click spot.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/133239.jpg

This is a great idea! The panel switcher was always behind my shift/Z entries and I was always clicking the wrong function. But I found you had to get rid of all the panelsave auto-save entries before it would show up!NigelVancouver
