November 20, 200520 yr For training practice on three engines. I would suggest shutdown Engine 2 or 3 since they have the least HYD. System Redundancy. Also, do not forget to open all crossfeed valves (if not already open). Set the Transponder to TA only.And you can start a practice for flying 3 engines.If necesary you might need to trim the a/c.
November 20, 200520 yr Ramon I'm not yet able to start from Cold and Dark and hence am not well aquainted with the engine switches.May I ask you to tell me what switches I should use to shut down one of those engines?Cliff (In Spain)

November 20, 200520 yr Ofcourse.On the throttle panel, below the throttles there are 4 fuel control switches. They are numbered from, left to right, 1,2,3 and 4.Switch number 3 to cutoff and a few seconds later you will hear a master caution and on the EICAS y'll see >ENG 3 SHUTDOWN
