Bell 206B GPS/NAV Switch????

Recommended Posts

Was just flying the Bell 206B helo. What's the GPS/NAV switch for on the panel? There is no autopilot for the helo that I can see. Is there a way to use it? If so, how? thanks, Bob.

No autopilot in helos right now - you'll just have to stick the thing around yourself 8^) .You should head over to the Rotorheads forum for more info.cheers,Dave BlevinsKRHV

I can't speak for the helicopter as I haven't tried it-but the Nav/gps switch merely changes the input device to the hsi or whatever instrument you are using-the autopilot is not involved. E.g. the deviation shown on the hsi needle will instead of being the vor (whether left or right of course) will be the gps (whether left or right of course).Hope that answers it..http://members.telocity.com/~geof43/Geofdog2.gif
