Lat/Lon Waypoints - FP Modification

Recommended Posts

Guest franksalot

Now that I am becoming adept at programming the PMDG B737NG-800 FMC, I thought I would try a 'pilot entered' waypoint. However, all I got for my pains was a blunt message in the Scratchpad thus "Not in Database"? I tried a couple of variations, thay failed as well. The Lat/Lon Reference is = N51 28,74/W000 06, 09; in order to fit the FMC User's Manual Instructions, I actually entered = N512874/W000609 - is this correct? On the other hand, using PPPPPBBB/DDD with an existing navigation waypoint, worked fine. All help would be greatly appreciated.KenSomerset, England

No replies yet; everyone must have the same problem :) - or perhaps I've been swamped with B747 problems.Ken

LAT LON format is:NDDMM.M/WDDDMM.M (leading zeros required, trailing zeros not required. So you'd enter N5128.7/W00006.1
