Gauge FPS tuning

Recommended Posts

Guest A32X

Hi,It's very immersive flying the Queen from the Virtual Cockpit but with scenery and weather it gets a little choppy to say the least. I've noticed the VC Gauge FPS update rate selector and my question is, would it be possible to tune specific displays and would it increase performance? For example, the PFD is probably the most important display and hence it would be nice to have that running at high FPS. However the FMC update rate could be extremely low, same goes for the lower EICAS etcWould such tuning increase both the smoothness of the overall simulation and certain gauges at the expense of others?Cheers,Paul

I agree Paul, selective gauge tuning would be great to squeeze the last few FPS out of the panel. For example I wonder what smoothness gains might be made if we could bring the refresh rate of the other pilot's screens right down? This would definitely be a feature welcomed by users with less-than-space-age systems.
