Flightplanning question

Hi all,I am trying to recreate actual flightplans using the follwing site data http://flightaware.com/I am having a hard time working with plans such fsnavigator or fsroute with the idea of eventually using the fmc, for waypoints in the following format;6500N 06000W 6500N 05000W 6500N 04000W Im sure this is novice level but can anyone offer a simple explanation of these and how they can be programmed into any of these flightplanners?ThanksMike

HI Mike,What route of flight are you taking? I can pull it up and give you tips. Your plane comes with a manual that explains how to use the FMC. Do you still have any questions about it?Ken.

6800N 05000W (from a route you referenced) is called a lattitude-longitude waypoint of LLW. It is entered in the FMC scratchpad as N6800W05000 (no space). For the 737 FMC guide it is on page 31.These are NAT track waypoints given in geographic coordinates.SFO8 SFO is the departure listed as SFO8.SFO on the plate. Is it listed in the DEP page choices for your runway? It has been around since 2003 at least and is current. Same with DUMB6.BARTN. Remember you have to specify a few of the way points since these have more than one direction in the last case from BARTN intersection. BNN3A is the arrival STAR BOVINGTOM. I dont have the 3A route but 2A in my plates. HON is the entry point of the 2A STAR on my plate and it looks the same on the 3A route. You need the plates or a flight planner with the SID/STAR database.US plates you can get here:http://www.naco.faa.gov/index.asp?xml=naco/online/d_tppfor the current cycle.The European division of VATSIM has plates on line.http://vateur.org/Start there, pick your division, country, airport, and desired chart(s). Some have all charts in one zip.In this case:http://www.vatsim-uk.org/you can navigate to downloads, LONDON ACC, click on Heathrow, and get a "simplified" chart. The euro division for SAG (Switzerland, Austria, Germany) has pdfs you can dowmload for each airport.If you look at these charts including their text pages, you will see how the route is entered.In the FMC when you pick a STAR (ARR) from the DEPARR ARR page list it will put the waypoints into the LEGS page. You will have a discontinuity to close after executing.Same with SIDS (DEPS).I hope this does not muddy the waters for you.I'm sure their will be corrections to what I've stated.

You guys are a big big help, I knew it was simple to enter those points.I have the STAR for EGLL but no where can I find a sid file that contains sfo 08 though I do have the chart Ill just build it myself its a real basic it seems Ill see if I can at it to the current file somehowThanks Again!!Mike

Wow that vatsim UK was far from easy to follow, in no way was I able to find sid star charts for download. My head is spinning LOL
