Best VA for flying the Queen

Recommended Posts

Guest AJ

I am interested in finding an appropriate VA for flying the PMDG 744. Ideally this would be a VA dedicated to the product with a high level of structure, and which is serious about realistic procedure, scheduling and routing. For example, there is such a VA dedicated to the Ready for Pushback 742 product, called Globe Cargo. Has anyone heard of something comparable, or at least compatible, with PMDG's 744?Andrew

Thanks. I'm already familiar with the Flying Tigers group, and have flown with them before. However, I'm looking for something with a bit more structure, and preferably built around the 744.Andrew

I would like to suggest United Virtual - http://united-virtual.comThey don't cater only to the Queen, but they have the most extensive 744 routing of any realworld airline, I think. BAV may be the only challenger to that.Me personally, as you can see with my banner at the bottom, I fly by myself, for myself on any Star Alliance flight and some British Airways flights, but not much. I keep a detailed log book using Paul Molitor's FS Flight Keeper found at Aerosoft.com (http://www.aerosoft.com/cgi-local/us/iboshop.cgi?showd100!0,4167673520,FS02203) you can get a great demo as well.Wilson HinesMy Blog: http://www.wilsonhines.com --------------------------------------http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpghttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/837438/3074.png

Although I've not flown for them, I gather CargoLux is a pretty good airline and will no doubt embrace the 744F when it comes out. There was another airline, I think called Premiair or something like it, that flys only advanced add-on aircraft, PMDG being included in that. For myself, I fly FTG. You can make your involvement as structured or as relaxed as you like, and it has the advantage of being a multi-airline group, you can numerous aircraft anywhere in the world (practically).Disadvantages? Well there is no limitation on what aircraft you fly, so a new pilot can fly any aircraft they want, rather than starting small and moving up. This could be an advantage depending on your point of view.No charters are allowed, scheduled flights only. There is no provision for a roster to be generated for you (I loved this about BA Virtual)Some countries are under represented (New Zealand in particular if you get me started on the topic!!!)All in all, I wouldn't change from FTG though despite the above.

Thanks for the recomendation of BA. I have been looking over the site, and it looks pretty good so far. It generally has the kind of structure I seek. However, I will prabaly wait for the -400F to be released so that I can start flying with a 747 (Cargo flights in this types are allowed even for newcomers, unlike the pax version). Thanks again,Andrew

We are perfect for flying the queen. We represent all airlines. Ever get sick of flying just that one livery? No worries here! We utilize r/w schedules for most airlines. (We actually have people assigned to update them). Sick of flying to the major airports? Well hop over to our airlift division and give some of the out of the way destinations a shot. URL is in my sig.

The Bidding system looks especially cool. I love how they tie some of the flights to current real world events. I think I will give them a try.Andrew
