Assumed Temp thrust vs. Fixed De-rate for takeoffs

Recommended Posts

Is this an either/or situation in the 744? You either set an assumed temp OR you set TO1 or TO2 power? Thanks!Jonathan

I used to have a chart posted here by a real 744 captain (he does not hang around here much anymore - if at all, he worked a lot on the PS1 product). Anyway, the table indicated that YES, you are capable of utilizing Fixed and Temp derates in combinations.I dont know how often it is used, but I get the impression that it is mostly assumed temps in todays ops.He posted that image in the 747PSS forumns about a week or two after it came out.
