Hmmm, more FMC RTE oddities (or is it me?!)

I just tried to load a PMDG pre-made flightplan into the FMC of the 747-400. I have a plan called SYDTPE001.rt2. So I entered that into CO ROUTE and got NOT IN DATABASE. I then tried several other combos, without rt2 and without 001, but same message.Why is this happening?Jonathan

Jonathan,just type " SYDTPE001 " in the CO ROUTE block (drop the .rt2).

Ted:Silly me! Thanks. I just did that and it loaded, but I also have a message in the FMC scratchpad that says H202 VIA LOAD ERR. What on earth does THAT mean?!Boy, it's more complicated to save and load flightplans than it is to FLY this beautiful machine!Jonathan

I think that means that it cannot find that fix on you flight plan. Just cancel the message and it should fly the flightplan, just missing out H202.
