Fast slew on efis control panel?

Recommended Posts

Guest my_controls

I'm trying to first of all select "radio" on the minimums selector and it seems like you can only do baro. Question number two is, can I fast and slow slew the minimums selector like in the real plane or no? It takes a day and a year to set minimums for high elev. airports.Thank you kindly.

Thanks for mentioning it. I have the same squawk with the 737NG, recent download of the 800/900 so I know I'm current. Can't select RADIO with the MINS control, only have control over BARO setting. I've given up on using it because of the time it takes to select anything higher than 200 MSL.I checked the PMDG maintenance board.. didn't see this squawk. Are there others with the same problem? If we get some feedback that it is a common problem then PMDG oughta fess up.

I found you need to click above the BARO knob, not on it. I do not recall at this moment if you also need left or right click to swap but it does work.

Oh my gosh! There it is; well, at least it wasn't too obvious.Thanks. The Radio hot spot is over the "MINS" label above the knob. The Baro hot spot is the center of the knob. Now I got it.The original request for a way to quickly set the Baro setting is still a good idea. But, now that I can use the Radio Altimeter for DH annuciation I'll just stick to that. Works except for places like KCRW (Yeager at Charleston WVA), which literally sits on top of a shaved off hilltop.
