B744 TOGA Button

Recommended Posts

Guest Bunk Junky

Hi All,I've just started using the PMDG sim, and I'm having trouble activating the TOGA button on the throttle quadrant. Placing the cursor on the buttons and clicking has no effect. Also no resulting A/T FMA indication. Also cannot activate A/T once airborne by cycling the A/T switch while in VNAV or puching THR or SPD.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1) The TO/GA button is a little tricky in the VC, since they placed it where is is in real life. Depending upon where you move your seat, you can sometimes reach it with the mouse, however, your best bet is to assign the TO/GA function to a button on your controller. Otherwise, you can briefly switch to the 2D panel and click the hidden button on the MCP screw (just like the 737NG). I wish they would have put that secret button on the 744 too, but alas they chose not to.2) WHen in VNAV, the AFS should regulate the A/T on its own. Just make sure the A/T armed. The cycling of switches should not be necessary if the FMC is properly programed.Andrew

Assign the TOGA command to a key or combo on your keyboard. Do this through the PMDG menu, not through the regualr FS commands.2. Use FSUIPC to assign that keyboard command to a button on your controller.Andrew
