Vnav doesnt'control my speeds.

Hi Falks,Ive installed the update yesterday, and now I am finding problems with VNAV.On my climb, I press VNAV to let the FMC control my climb and speeds. However, when my climb has finished, VNAV doesn't control the speeds, and the plane is still controlled by the CH Yoke throttle settings. I have to press VNAV again (Which is already activated) and then finally it deaccelerates to the FMC selected speed.Anyone have thought of what this could be?Thanks

>Hi Stefan,>>Make sure you do not have A/T Override checked in the PMDG>Options module. Thanks Ryan for your response, but I have no overide settings selected in the options menu. Also, when flying on the autopilot, the plane doesn't react on my yoke movements, so that seems to work fine like I have selected in the options..I just have to press VNAV again after my climb, to let the autopilot controll my cruise speeds.Weird huh?!?Have a good day,

Have you read the PMDG post on "autothrottle" located near the front of the forum?

Stefan:For some reason the post on autothrottle usage (post #95618) is not at the front of the forum anymore. It can be found on the 747-400 support page under "type course".Maybe this link will work:http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho..._id=95618&page=orhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/html/support/747.htmthen look under "PMDG 747-400 Type Course", Lesson 1.

>Have you read the PMDG post on "autothrottle" located near>the front of the forum?Hey Rick,Problem is, that my plane controls the speeds with VNAV perfectly in Climb mode, but when it enters the Cruise mode, it will loose its control, and engages full throttle.I did a little extra research,I only experience this problem when I takeoff without the help of TO/GA, with AT armed. When I takeoff with TO/GA it doesn't occure..So, I guess problem solved.. No more manual thrust takeoffs for me :D

Almost sounds like the AT is not engaged. Armed is not enough. (You know about the secret screw, right?) What is annunciated in the far left FMA when you take-off, then, when you capture altitude with VNAV PATH or VNAV ALT? A manual take-off then a second press of VNAV is just the right thing (to do to engage the AT) if it was not engaged already.
