Tail stand

Hi,I was just wondering, is the tail stand functional or is it just a visual thing?the Freeware IL-62 for instance, has a 4th wheel support at its tail - if you load it incorrectly and won't extend that wheel, the aircraft will tilt and sit on its tail....Is that the case with the 744F, or is the tailstand just a cosmetic addition?//Michael

Hi Michael,well if you take a look at the pics I posted the link for you will soon recognize what the tail stand is for!! ;-)This photos show exactly what would happen if you place cargo at the very end of the 744F without compansating the front or without the tail stand. http://www.airliners.net/open.file/0065821/L/ http://www.airliners.net/open.file/0065819/L/

Ryan,if I remember right this one is a 744 Combi (PAX&CARGO) so that explains the windows!
