Recommended Posts

I don't want to sound rude, but isn't that what the internet is all about? Search using Google perhaps?

It wasn't hard! Googles "nautical miles conversion" and there were lots of interesting sites. Try this:http://www.metric-conversions.org/length/n...es-to-miles.htm"Nautical Miles to miles conversion calculator Nautical Miles - A unit of length used in marine navigation that is equal to a minute of arc of a great circle on a sphere. One international nautical mile is equivalent to 1,852 meters or 1.151 statute miles. Miles - a unit of length equal to 1760 yards"

Quick and easy, use 1.15 to go from nm to sm which you can do in your head. Just add 10% and then half of that. 200 kts becomes 200+20+10=230 mph (about).
