SIDs Missing

Recommended Posts

I don't remember when exactly this happened but today when I was planning a flight I wasn't able to use any SIDs. I was departing KORD for KLAX and the app/dep screen did not have any SIDs for KORD. I tried updating my airac to 0513 and the pmdg sid/star from planepath.com. None of this seemed to resolve the problem. Does anyone know how to get SIDs back into the FMC?http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/150024.jpg

I think you should get an error from the ROUTE page if you enter an ICAO ident and the airport is missing. Look in the folder where the SIDSTARS are supposed to be to verify they're missing and it's not something else. Their default location is "...Flight Simulator 9/PMDG/SIDSTARS" If they're missing redo the installation and confirm it by looking... I wouldn't know where to start if they're not missing so I hope it's this easy.

KORD does not have any pilot nav departures... There's a single vector DP called the O'HARE 1:http://flightaware.com/resources/airport/ORD/DP/O'HARE+ONEVector DP's don't appear in the FMC DEP/ARR page - there's nothing wrong here. Always check the charts for the airport before you assume there should be procedures listed there... ;)You just file for your first enroute fix or VOR and ATC directs you to it. Always been this way at ORD. Just type this first waypoint into the RTE page 2 as a DIRECT...
